CCNA passed

Just got mine CCNA, what a journey ! Not gonna lie, staying consistent and learning everything was tough. I started 4 months ago, during which:

• lots of labbing (mostly JITL MegaLab)
• watching and reading material (JITL course + CBT Nuggets for WLC)
• taking notes (around 300 A4 pages) and rereading them, trying to explain concepts in my own words
• using Anki cards everyday (I suggest adding your own cards with problematic topics)
• doing practice tests (Boson and JITL)

Huge thanks to Jeremy McDowell for the course. It was excellent, and his Mega Lab is great preparation for the CCNA lab section. And even though there were moments when I thought “please, no more Anki cards” 😊 I still kept on going and I’ll keep using Anki going forward. My worst day had around 300 cards to review. If a brain can feel pain, that was definitely the day it did 🧠

In the end, I feel much more confident with networking, routing, and switching. Compared to CompTIA Network+, this was a lot more practical and much deeper.

The amount of material can make you doubt yourself but just keep on grinding ⛏️ in your own tempo.
